What you’ll handle

• Build, install, and repair wood, plywood, and wallboard structures and fixtures.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and sketches to ensure accuracy.
• Measure, cut, and shape materials using the appropriate hand and power tools.
• Work collaboratively with other trades to keep projects moving smoothly.
• Conduct inspections to verify compliance with building codes and safety rules.
• Keep the jobsite clean, organized, and safe.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to apprentices and newer builders.
• Stay current on industry trends and new building techniques.

Required background

• High school diploma or equivalent; a completed, recognized apprenticeship is preferred.
• 3–5 years of hands-on construction experience (or related field).
• Strong knowledge of codes, safety regulations, and construction practices.
• Proficient and safe with hand and power tools.
• Skilled at reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Effective communicator and collaborative team member.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
