Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time, long-term substitute Speech-Language Pathologist position is available for the current school year, starting October 13th through the end of the school year. This role involves providing speech-language support to approximately 56 students across two middle schools and one high school within a K-12 public school setting in Providence, RI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering individualized speech and language therapy services to students in compliance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly
  • Conducting assessments, maintaining detailed documentation, and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Utilizing teletherapy methods as needed to ensure continuous service delivery

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Rhode Island state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience working in pediatric healthcare and school-based settings preferred
  • Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and procedures
  • Completion or current status of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is acceptable
  • Ability to manage caseload effectively across multiple schools
