Journeyman Carpenter

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of carpentry, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The Journeyman Carpenter will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, as well as installing and repairing structures and fixtures. A high level of precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard.

• Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, and other materials.

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans.

• Work with a variety of hand and power tools.

• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.

• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a carpenter (10+ years preferred).

• Proven experience as a Journeyman Carpenter.

• Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods.

• Proficiency in using a wide range of hand and power tools.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

• Excellent physical condition and stamina, with the ability to lift heavy materials.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
