We are seeking a skilled Weekend CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team in a dynamic job shop environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing full set-ups, troubleshooting machines, and reading complex prints, ensuring precision with tolerances of +/- 0.0002. This role involves working with a variety of stainless and exotic materials, including aluminum, Inconel, titanium, and brass. Experience with live tooling is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform full set-ups on CNC lathes in a job shop environment.
- Troubleshoot machines and read complex prints to hold tight tolerances.
- Work with a variety of materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, and exotic metals.
- Handle live tooling and dual spindle lathes such as Puma and Doosan.
- Perform on average one setup per shift, with variations depending on job complexity.
- Edit programs at the machine and operate multi-axis CNC lathes.
- Work with parts ranging in size and quantity from 100 to 5,000 pieces.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of CNC lathe set-up experience.
- 2+ years of machining experience in medical or aerospace environments.
- Ability to hold tolerances of +/- 0.0002.
- Proficiency in live-tooling or multi-axis operations.
- Ability to read and understand CNC programs and operational layouts.
- Knowledge of tooling applications for exotic metals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Twin-Turret CNC lathes is a plus.
- Understanding of tooling requirements for machine set-up.
- Experience in pre-setting tools.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $76960.00/yr.
- Climate Controlled and super clean
- Guaranteed 3% company contribution to 401k (not a match. For example, if you put in 6% they put 3% and if you put 0% they put 3%)
- 2 weeks PTO right away plus the Minnesota sick pay on top of that
- Average tenure is 10+ years

- Sometimes will have a bonus at the end of the year depending on company performance/profits
