Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Procurement Specialist plays a key role in managing sourcing activities, vendor relationships, purchasing schedules, and material planning. This individual ensures that goods and services are acquired at the best value, meet quality standards, and support timely operational needs. The ideal candidate is detailoriented, analytical, and comfortable collaborating across teams to optimize procurement workflows.
Job Details:

  1. Pay Rate: $25-38/hour
  2. Schedule: Monday-Friday 7AM-4PM
  3. Location: Plymouth Meeting, PA

Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, highquality materials, and ontime delivery.
  • Issue, track and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in pricing, quantities, and delivery expectations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to forecast procurement needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships while assessing supplier performance and reliability.
  • Review contracts, proposals, and service agreements to ensure compliance with company policies and risk standards.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms to optimize cost savings.
  • Ensure procured items meet technical specifications and quality standards required for scanning equipment assembly.
  • Analyze market trends, cost drivers, and alternative suppliers to improve procurement strategies.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, engineering, and production teams to support crossfunctional initiatives.
  • Resolve issues related to delayed shipments, product discrepancies, pricing variances, and supplier performance.
  • Maintain procurement records, documentation, and reporting dashboards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to purchasing processes, automation, and costsavings.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience working with international suppliers, global purchasing, or import logistics.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and vendormanagement skills.
  • Experience using procurement or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel or similar data tools.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of global trade practices, HTS codes, import/export regulations, and Incoterms.
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or technologydriven environments.
  • Knowledge of purchasing best practices or supply chain certifications (CPSM, CPIM, CSCP).
