An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room to provide expert perioperative care. This role requires proficiency in conscious sedation and hands-on experience in an eye surgery environment is highly preferred. Scheduled for a consistent day shift, this position offers a focused workweek ideal for maintaining work-life balance.
Location:Positioned in Carpinteria, CA, this area is known for its scenic beauty, coastal charm, and a welcoming community atmosphere. The location offers a peaceful setting with easy access to beaches, local dining, and outdoor recreation.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current California State RN License mandatory
- Minimum one year of operating room nursing experience
- Conscious sedation experience is essential
- Eye surgery experience is highly preferred
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record system preferred
Shift Details:
- Monday through Friday, 5x8-hour shifts
- Day shift from 08:30 to 17:30
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in the operating room with a focus on patient safety
- Administer conscious sedation according to established protocols
- Collaborate closely with surgical teams and support staff
- Utilize Epic for accurate patient charting and documentation
- Maintain sterile field and advocate for patient well-being throughout surgical procedures
