Job Overview:
The Operations Specialist will assist in the planning, organization and implementation of Infusion Suite operations strategies in accordance with the business plans for the Company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading and coordinating multidisciplinary activities pertaining to infusion services, from data analytics to project management of infusion initiatives
- Work closely with staff from all departments, with a focus on infusion suite related operations
- Develop and execute (in conjunction with Company management) infusion suite operational strategies for the Company
- Work directly with Management team in preparing and organizing the startup of new infusion suites with concentration on census, referral source, insurance coordination, intake and sales collaboration
- Liaise with key stakeholders on the development and implementation of new infusion suites
- Interface with management for the Company to ensure streamlined operational activities to meet business growth and budget goals for infusion suites
- Proactively address pharmacy and intake concerns pertaining to Infusion Suite oversight
- Review new referrals cleared by intake ensuring all documentation is in patient profile to move forward with dispense
- Support infusion suite re-authorization process, and year-end benefit verifications for all suites and provide updates as needed to key stakeholders and patients
- Manage ASO infusion sites and foster relationships to build trust
- Assist Pharmacist as needed
- Address day to day concerns that arise
- Train and backup Infusion Suite Coordinators
- Monitor and report on operational activities and provide relevant information to Company management
- Attend meetings and other functions necessary to perform duties and assist in business development for the company
- Monitor day-to-day activities and provide backup as required

Minimum Education, Certification and Experience/Skill Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent. A college degree is preferred.
- Preferred (2) years’ experience as an Intake Authorization Coordinator.
- Ambulatory Infusion Suite experience preferred.
- Excellent Communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking to effectively handle position responsibilities.
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Computer skills and knowledge of how to enter and access data. Knowledge of Excel, Internet, and Word Processing.
- Understand how to calculate and check for correct doses of medication.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Possess ability to prioritize, perform multiple tasks at one time, and have good organizational skills.
- Work under stress effectively.
Highly Preferred Certification and Experience/Skill Requirements:
- Experience working in an acute or specialty infusion pharmacy
- Experience working in a hospital infusion pharmacy
- Experience with sterile compounding
- Experience with CPR+ Pharmacy Management System
Physical Demands:
Required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear; required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment; must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs; specific vision requirements for this job include: close, distance and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position without compromising patient care.
