In this role, you would make visitors feel welcome at the store, operate a multi-line telephone system, answering incoming calls and directing callers to appropriate teammates, as well assisting customers and teammates in a variety of other tasks. Responsibility:

  • Answer incoming telephone calls, determine purpose of callers, and forward calls to appropriate teammate or department.
  • Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate team member.
  • Assists with scanning and filing of paperwork for various departments.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
  • Assists the Office Manager with novelties including receipting in, charging out, displaying and checking inventory.
  • Work on various projects and tasks for multiple departments as needed.
  • Assist customers with billing information and other requests.
  • Posts informational signs.
  • Responsible for arrangement and communication of store birthday / anniversary announcements.
  • Updates all associate listings and phone listings for the store.
  • Have awareness to associates schedules to best serve our customers.
  • May assist Office Assistant with coordinating United Way Campaign, company picnic, annual holiday celebration, customer appreciation breakfast and other events.
  • Work within Butler Machinery’s vision, mission, and values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience, training/or education required
  • Previous phone experience
  • Experience with Excel/Word/PowerPoint
  • Able to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong organizational skills
