OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Installation Team Manager to lead our traveling installation teams during the build-out and opening phases of new Level99 venues. Reporting directly to the Director of Install, this role oversees multiple Installers and an Install Coordinator onsite over the course of an entertainment installation project. The Install Team Manager will manage the full scope of entertainment installation for our patented modular attractions, electro-mechanical systems, scenic elements, and venue art pieces in high-profile, fast-paced new venue projects.
This is a hands-on leadership position in chaotic, high-stakes environments (new venue openings with overlapping trades, tight deadlines, and constant changes). The Install Team Manager will coordinate closely with the Director of Install, Level99 Project and Construction Managers, the general contractor (GC), sub-contractors, vendors, suppliers, and artists to help deliver projects on time, within budget, and to Level99's exacting brand and quality standards. Safety, organization, clear communication, and calm under pressure are non-negotiable.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Lead on-site installation teams, including installers and artists, for national venue builds and retrofits.
- Manage installation of patented modular walls, electro-mechanical systems, and venue art per specs and brand standards.
- Direct daily operations, sequencing work and resolving issues to optimize efficiency, budget, and timeline.
- Act as primary site contact for construction teams, GCs, and vendors to manage RFIs and milestones.
- Enforce rigorous safety, cleanliness, and equipment management protocols through regular briefings and inspections.
- Monitor labor, materials, and expenses; report variances and implement corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues by leveraging team expertise in carpentry, wiring, and electronics.
- Ensure high workmanship and environmental presentation standards aligned with the Level99 brand.
- Develop and mentor the team, fostering a proactive culture of performance and accountability.
- Travel extensively (250+ days/year) and manage logistics for team travel and equipment.
- Provide daily and weekly progress, safety, and resource reports to stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties to ensure successful venue openings.
MUST-HAVE SKILLS
- Supervisory experience on $5M–$25M themed entertainment installation projects.
- Leadership skills: setting expectations, managing difficult conversations, and high-pressure decision-making.
- Expertise in site organization, trade sequencing, and multi-trade resource management.
- Coordination with GCs, design teams, and subcontractors.
- Technical proficiency: modular systems, electro-mechanical troubleshooting, carpentry, electronics, and drawing interpretation.
- Skilled in performing onsite field verifications.
- Strong leadership for conflict resolution and stakeholder management.
- Calm and efficient during high-pressure venue openings.
- Commitment to safety, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Willingness to travel 250+ days annually and lift 50–80+ lbs.
- Highly organized with strong time management and detail orientation.
- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Professional, high-integrity, and energetic attitude.
- High school diploma required; trade certifications or degree preferred.
OTHER DESIRABLE (BUT NOT NECESSARY) SKILLS & EXPERIENCE INCLUDE
- Supervisory experience in entertainment, themed attractions, museums, or hospitality construction.
- Proficiency operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and other site machinery.
- Familiarity with project management software for scheduling and tracking.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices.
While we don’t expect a candidate to have deep experience in all of the above, we’re looking for someone with the passion and capability to learn quickly in the areas that are new! YOU MIGHT BE A FIT ON THE LEVEL99 TEAM IF YOU…
- Like to laugh, would be described as a "low maintenance, low drama" person, have a tendency to have a bit of fun while you work
- Have a high tolerance for ambiguity, like to go fast, and are excited to learn on the job
- Are just a little bit obsessive about getting the details right the first time
- Have a high energy personality, the kind of person who is typically smiling, and likes to "get it done now"
