Job DescriptionJob Title: Pharmacist - Augusta, GAOverview:
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Pharmacist to join a well-established, independent community pharmacy in Augusta, GA. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a clinical, low-volume setting focused on providing personalized care, improving patient outcomes, and supporting the local community. With a consistent weekday schedule and no nights or weekends, this position promotes an excellent work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:Clinical & Patient Care:

Verify, dispense, and counsel patients in accordance with GA Board of Pharmacy and USP standards

Conduct MTM, adherence outreach, and medication therapy reviews
-
Administer immunizations and directly observed therapies as per CDC guidelines
-
Support patients with OTC recommendations, side effects, and therapy-related questions
Operations & Compliance:

Act as pharmacist-in-charge when scheduled

Maintain strict compliance with DEA, PDMP, HIPAA, and state pharmacy laws

Monitor inventory, manage recalls, ensure accurate records, and support QA initiatives
Customer Experience:

Deliver a compassionate, patient-centered experience

Proactively resolve patient concerns and ensure satisfaction
Requirements:
-
Education: PharmD or BSPharm from an ACPE-accredited institution
-
Licensure: Active pharmacist license in good standing with the state of Georgia (or willingness to obtain)

Certifications: Certified immunizer or ability to obtain within 30 days
-
Experience: Minimum 1 year of retail/outpatient pharmacy experience preferred; experience in specialty, LTC, MTM, or infusion a plus
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with compliance packaging, CLIA-waived testing, or specialty pharmacy certification

Bilingual skills (Spanish or another second language)
