**This is a Closed-Door non-patient facing position - no patient interactions**
Data Entry Pharmacy Technician Location: Irving, TX -
Data Entry Pharmacy Technician Compensation: $19.00*
Data Entry Pharmacy Technician Hours: Mon-Fri hours between 8am – 6pm will work an 8-hour day with a 30-minute lunch
What does the Data Entry Pharmacy Technician do?
- Perform technical, nonjudgmental tasks under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Accurately enter and process new and refill prescriptions in the pharmacy system
- Verify patient information and physician authorization
- Calculate and convert dosages accurately (metric and apothecary systems)
- Conduct eligibility verification and process third-party claims adjudication
- Maintain proper records and manage medication inventory
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA
- Support and adhere to the Code of Ethics and Business Standards
- Assist in maintaining the accuracy of pharmacy software systems
- Work within specific program guidelines and service level expectations
- Handle cross-functional communication, including prescriber and shipment-related calls
- Support escalations involving leadership, pharmacists, and third-party partners
- Exhibit strong attention to detail, urgency, and multitasking skills
- Prioritize and complete tasks efficiently to meet quality and productivity standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Pharmacy Technician Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of related pharmacy experience is required
- Active Pharmacy Technician license with no restrictions in the state of Texas
- Data Entry Pharmacy Experience
