Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapist license in California
- Prior experience in school settings is highly desirable
- Ability to supervise and mentor a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites as needed
- Bilingual Spanish skills preferred, enhancing communication with students and families
- Commitment to professional integrity, reliability, and fostering positive outcomes for students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic interventions designed for K-12 students with varying physical needs
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to develop functional goals
- Provide supervision and support to an assigned PTA
- Document assessments, progress, and outcomes in compliance with school and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress decisions
- Adapt interventions to accommodate diverse learning environments and student schedules
