Requirements MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is looking for a Locum OB/GYN Hospitalist to fill their need!Schedules:Start ASAPPatient contact hours: As NeededShifts per month: as needed approximately 4 shifts per month on averageShift length: 24 hours in-house24-96 hour shift scheduling Dates Needed Coverage:March 22 7p - March 24 7aMarch 25 7a - March 27 7aMarch 30 7a - March 30 7pApril 22 7a - April 22 7pApril 23 7a - April 24 7aMay 3 7p - May 4 7aMay 5 7a - May 9 7a - only 3 days in a row approvedMay 13 7a-5pMay 17 7p - May 21 7aMay 24 7p - May 25 7aJune 4 7a - June 5 7aJune 8 7p - June 9 7aJune 10 7a - June 11 7aJune 19 7a - June 21 7aDetails:Inpatient Responsibilities: Yes at MercyOne North Iowa Birth Center - 1000 4th Street SW Mason City IA 50401Outreach: NoTelehealth: NoNumber of Physicians: 1 full-time General OBGYN clinic/surgery only amp 1 full-time 1 part-time amp 3 PRN OBGYN Hospitalists hospital/on call onlyNumber of Advances Practice Providers: 5 - 2 ARNP 2 PA 1 midwife midwife starts AprilSupervision of APPs: YesNursing Support: 1:1 - additional support in hospital/Birth CenterAncillary Staff per provider: Care team members include - OBGYN Family medicine resident/faculty EFM Certified nurses and providers 24/7 Pediatric hospitalists NICU nurses Pharmacists Labor/delivery/post-partum RNs MA/LPN Certified Lactation Counselors CLC International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant IBCLC Medical Imaging: YesLab amp Pharmacy: YesAverage Daily Hospital Practice Census: Average 500-600 births/yearEMR: EPICTeaching Opportunity: Teaching hospital - have Residency program and medical student rotations with DMUServices offered in the practice: Annual Breast and Pelvic Exams Abnormal Pap Smears and HPV Management Routine Prenatal and Postnatal Care In-office Procedures see above Contraception: Consultation and Options Endometriosis Care Infertility Treatment Menopause Care and Hormone Replacement Menstrual Irregularities Pap Smears Pelvic Prolapse Repairs Permanent Sterilization Ultrasound Imaging and Urinary Incontinence Treatment.Job Responsibilities:Oversee LampD unit triage patients and perform vaginal or cesarean deliveries. Management of high amp low-risk obstetric evaluations emergencies and urgent gynecological consultations/surgeries. Provide education/mentoring for residents and staff. Assist OB/GYN peers in complex surgical cases if needed. Facility Reimbursement:Flights - 750/round trip cap to include all taxes and fees. No upgraded airfares or seat upgradesLodging - 1.5x the GSA rate cap average for the total stay to include taxes and feesRental Car - 55/day cap including all taxes and fees regardless of car class. SUV/upgrades over cap will need to be preapproved will only be approved if needed for inclement weatherMileage - IRS Standard RateBill Rates Needed for Submission:Malpractice must be included in the ratesOrientationHourlyHoliday HourlyConversion fee 25k rate cap*Please Note: Trinity Health does not reimburse for any application or credentialing fees.*
