Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A leadership opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacy professional to serve as Director of Pharmacy with potential to also act as Pharmacist in Charge. This role focuses on managing pharmacy services within an inpatient behavioral health setting, requiring hands-on pharmacy expertise combined with leadership skills to oversee daily operations and pharmacy development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Director of Pharmacy, managing overall pharmacy operations and staff coordination
- Perform pharmacist duties including medication order verification, stock management, and policy development
- Participate in departmental and interdisciplinary meetings
- Manage initial pharmacy setup and assist in new program development
- Cover weekday hours Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, plus on-call responsibilities
- Provide weekend order verification remotely, twice daily for approximately one hour each
- Utilize EPIC for order entry and Omnicell for medication automation systems
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Pennsylvania, with valid licensure in good standing
- Experience in inpatient pharmacy practice, preferably within behavioral health environments
- Familiarity with EPIC order entry system; onsite training provided
- Knowledge or willingness to learn Omnicell automation preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills suitable for pharmacy management and operational development
Location: Bethlehem, PA
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, plus on-call duties
- Weekend remote order verification shifts (1 hour each at 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM)

This contract position provides an immediate start opportunity to cover current pharmacy leadership until a permanent Director is hired.
