Lead Carpenter - Outdoor Construction
Outdoor Comfort Solutions
Location: Bismarck, ND
Pay: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour (based on experience)
Lead the Build on High-End Outdoor Projects
Outdoor Comfort Solutions is hiring a Lead Carpenter to oversee and participate in the construction of custom outdoor living projects. This role is ideal for an experienced carpenter who can lead on-site work, maintain quality standards, and keep projects on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist with installation of outdoor structures (pergolas, patio covers, decks, screens, awnings)
- Oversee daily jobsite operations and crew productivity
- Interpret blueprints, layouts, and construction plans
- Perform measurements, cuts, assembly, and installation
- Monitor workmanship and correct issues proactively
- Communicate progress and site conditions with project management
- Support and guide less experienced team members
- Maintain a clean and safe jobsite
- Document updates using JobTread (as needed)
Qualifications
- 5+ years of carpentry or construction experience
- Experience leading a crew or acting as a jobsite lead
- Knowledge of framing, finish carpentry, and general construction
- Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to complete a background check and drug screen after a conditional offer
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Compensation & Benefits
- $35.00 to $40.00 per hour (DOE)
