Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity is designed for an experienced Occupational Therapist with a strong background in school-based settings, serving an elementary caseload. The role is located in San Jose, CA, and involves working across various school levels, including early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized occupational therapy services to students within an elementary school setting
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective intervention plans
  • Conduct assessments and monitor student progress to adjust therapy goals accordingly
  • Support the development of fine motor, sensory processing, and self-help skills to enhance student participation and success in the school environment
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to comprehensive student support strategies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with credentials to practice in school settings
  • Proven experience providing OT services in schools, specifically with elementary-aged children
  • Familiarity with early childhood, middle, and high school student populations is a plus
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate within the educational community
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs
  • Commitment to student-centered care and advocacy within school systems
