About the Role
Beta Systems International is seeking a Communications Coordinator to support outreach and engagement efforts for a federal agency program focused on accessibility and disability employment. This role will ensure all communications meet federal accessibility and plain language standards.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver plain language content including fact sheets, newsletters, and digital outreach materials.

Ensure all communications comply with Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards.

Support employer technical assistance efforts through toolkits, guides, and online resources.

Coordinate logistics for webinars, conferences, and public-facing events.

Collaborate with program staff to deliver accurate and accessible communications.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, or related field.

Experience: 3–5 years in communications, accessibility outreach, or technical assistance (government or nonprofit preferred).

Certifications (Preferred):
-
IAAP Accessible Document Specialist (ADS) or CPACC certification.

Certification in Plain Language or formal training in Federal Plain Language Guidelines.

Familiarity with Section 508 and WCAG standards.

Background supporting disability employment or accessible technology communications is a plus.
Note: This position is contingent upon contract award and will be a 12-month full-time, temporary role.
