Job DescriptionJob Title: Grant Accountant Location: SE Portland, OR Job Type: Full-Time, Temp (3-6 months), Fully Onsite Compensation: $29-$35 an hour DOE We are seeking a dedicated Grants Accountant to join our client's team in SE Portland, OR. As a Grant Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with grant funding regulations, and supporting financial analysis related to grant activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for financial management and a desire to make a meaningful impact. Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records for grant-funded projects
- Ensure compliance with grant funding regulations and reporting requirements
- Process grant-related transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense allocations
- Assist with month-end closing processes specific to grant accounting
- Prepare financial reports and statements for grant-funded projects
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for optimization
- Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to monitor grant budgets and expenditures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred not required
- 1-2+ years of experience in grant accounting needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of grant funding regulations and compliance requirements preferred
