Location: Sugar Land, TX 77478

Schedule: 7:30am-4:30pm; Mon - Fri


Qualifications:

  • Highschool diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Teller in a credit union or bank
  • Proven cash handling experience
  • Experience with Teller Cash Recyclers – a plus
  • Experience using DNA Core Banking System – a plus
  • Strong understanding of teller operations and member service
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform duties independently with minimal supervision
  • Calm, professional demeanor under pressure and deadlines
  • Effective communication with diverse member populations
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive member and internal information
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities and tasks throughout the workday


Description:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of recent teller experience in a credit union or banking environment, with strong cash handling skills and a commitment to providing exceptional service. As the face of our institution, this individual will handle member transactions accurately and efficiently while promoting our products and services in a professional and friendly manner.


  • Greet and assist members in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
  • Process member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments.
  • Verify cash, checks, and endorsements; place holds as necessary.
  • Balance cash drawer daily and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Promote and explain credit union products such as loans, IRAs, certificates, and other services.
  • Process mobile deposit submissions and apply appropriate holds per policy.
  • Handle coin and currency counting, packaging, and verification.
  • Maintain and restock teller station with necessary supplies and forms.
  • Review and update member account contact information as needed.
  • Process night depository bags according to procedure.
  • Ensure compliance with all credit union policies, including BSA, Patriot Act, and OFAC regulations.
  • Identify member needs and refer appropriate financial products and services.
  • Report equipment issues and service disruptions to the appropriate personnel.
