Job DescriptionMedical Assistant – Hilton Head, SC
A busy Urgent Care clinic is seeking a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced and patient-focused team. This position includes both clinical and front-desk responsibilities and requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and reliability.

Responsibilities:
- Room patients, obtain vitals, and document accurately in the EMR
- Collect medical history, demographics, and prescription information
- Recognize signs of patient distress and notify provider
- Perform basic lab testing and collect specimens (including phlebotomy)
- Assist with medication administration as directed by the provider
- Support occupational health screenings and testing services
- Maintain clean exam rooms and ensure equipment is stocked and functioning
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Assist at the front desk with check-in/check-out, phones, and updating patient demographics
- Travel to nearby centers as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program
- Current CMA or RMA credential
- CPR certification
- OSHA and HIPAA training
- EMR proficiency and basic medical terminology
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred:
- Associate's degree in Medical Assisting
