Key Duties:

  • Deliver individualized care to surgical patients and their families, progressing toward self-defined, holistic goals.
  • Utilize comprehensive nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for safe, efficient patient outcomes.
  • Foster and promote quality care and patient satisfaction as a central advocate.
  • Collaborate on complex cases, seeking multidisciplinary resources in high-risk or unique clinical situations.
  • Document all aspects of patient assessment, plans, interventions, and responses in accordance with professional standards.
  • Educate and guide patients and families using adult learning principles, tailoring education to each unique scenario.
  • Recognize and address communication barriers, integrating socio-cultural insights to meet a wide range of patient needs.
  • Assign and delegate care appropriately, ensuring all team members practice within their competency.
  • Proactively coordinate with the broader healthcare team to facilitate patient progress and optimal workflow.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license with Operating Room nursing experience.
  • Comfort managing both direct and indirect perioperative patient care.
  • Strong assessment, planning, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to shifting clinical priorities.
