Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in a K-12 educational setting located in the Charles Town/Hedgesville, WV area. This contract role offers 35 hours per week and requires candidates to hold a West Virginia SLP License as well as West Virginia Teaching Certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations, therapy, and progress monitoring tailored to students individual needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for K-12 students.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Support students in improving communication skills to enhance academic achievement and social interaction.
- Stay current with best practices and participate in professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Language Pathologist - Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), or School-based SLP credentials preferred.
- Valid West Virginia Speech Language Pathology License.
- West Virginia Teaching Certification required.
- Experience working within a school environment and with diverse student populations.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
