The Capital District YMCA is seeking an entry level Billing Coordinator to join our finance team! Our billing specialists are responsible for membership, childcare, and program billing as well as collection. As a Billing Coordinator, you will provide best in class customer service to our members and employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Timely and accurate setup of member information in subsidiary computer system
- Timely and accurate production of billing statements
- Maintain records in organized and accurate manner to allow for timely retrieval
- Provide courteous and prompt responses to member and staff inquiries
- Utilize a variety of communication methods to correspond with members and staff including, but not limited to, letters, phone calls, and email
- Review and identify delinquent accounts for remedial action
- Communicate with members and other necessary parties to collect balances owed
- Develop action plans which may include payment arrangements, cessation of services, use of a collection agency, or other methods as required
- Prepare and submit accurate/timely third party billing.
- Prepare various reports such as rosters, outstanding balances, and delinquency/collections reports.
- All other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- HS/GED required; AAS preferred.
- Prior bookkeeping and computer software experience required.
- Data entry skills.
- Excellent human relation skills, organizational, and communication skills
- Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of the YMCA.
Work Status: This is a Full-Time Entry Level Position with a 40 hour work week and paid biweekly

Work Schedule:
- Remote Days: Monday – Friday 8am - 5pm (1 hour unpaid lunch break)
- Office Days: Weekday 9am - 3pm
Work Location: Hybrid (Remote/in-person) - Work from home with one half day at the Admin Office Weekly (In-person location will vary depending upon branch need)
