Overview
LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing and evolving Business Office team. This is a newly created role driven by organizational growth and the need for increased focus on procurement and AP operations. The position offers clear opportunities for advancement as the department expands and transitions into a more leadership-focused structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Support procurement functions, including invoice review, vendor communication, and payment coordination.
- Work closely with a distributed AP team (Manager based in Chicago; AP team members in St. Louis).
- Utilize AP software systems-preferably Chrome River , Aderant Expert , or Intapp (experience with at least one required).
- Assist with financial reporting, documentation, and compliance tasks.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including legal and professional services teams.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement within a rapidly growing and evolving business office.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience required.
- Experience in a legal or professional services environment strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with AP software such as:
- Chrome River (most important)
- Aderant Expert
- Intapp
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid/remote team structure.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Hybrid schedule available after 90 days of training :
- In-office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
- Flexibility possible on Monday/Thursday
- Team of 5 within the AP group, with growing leadership opportunities.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000 (targeting $50k-$55k depending on experience)
- Benefits include:
- 30 days sick/PTO (10 days rollover encouraged)
- Pro-rated PTO increases
