Plant Manager | Walker, MI

Salary Range: $141,000 - $192,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily plant operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are met.
  • Develop and execute plant-level strategies to optimize efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage plant budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for financial optimization.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational processes and product quality.
  • Oversee maintenance and reliability programs to maximize equipment uptime and asset utilization.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven experience in manufacturing operations leadership.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, quality systems, and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage production processes, maintenance, and supply chain.
  • Excellent leadership, team development, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement expertise
  • Experience implementing advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., automation, robotics, Industry 4.0)
  • MBA or Master's degree in Engineering Management, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in new plant start-up, facility expansion, or major capital project management
