Controls/PLC Engineer
Position Overview
The Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, programming, and maintaining control systems for various industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC programming and a deep understanding of control systems to optimize processes and enhance system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop control systems for industrial automation projects.
- Program PLCs using Ladder Logic, FBD, and other programming languages.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing control systems and processes.
- Implement HMI interfaces and SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project specifications and requirements are met.
- Conduct system testing and validation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Controls Engineer in an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs such as Allen Bradley, Modicon, and Siemens.
- Experience with HMI software including iFix, Citect, or Ignition.
- Familiarity with control protocols such as Modbus and BACnet.
- Understanding of combustion systems including boilers and burners.
- Ability to work with various control system architectures and communication networks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
