Contract CT Technologist
Location: Fresno, CA
Assignment Type: 13-week contract (with potential for extension)
Shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
On-Call: One weekend per month
Compensation Package:
- Taxable Wages: $792/week
- Nontaxable Stipend: $1,505/week
- Estimated Weekly Gross Pay (based on 36 hours): $2,297/week
Position Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity for a travel CT Technologist to apply their imaging expertise while experiencing a new location. Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years of CT experience and a commitment to providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review radiology requisitions and physician orders to ensure appropriate procedures.
- Gather and prepare relevant prior imaging for radiologist review.
- Educate and prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and use of immobilization devices when necessary.
- Determine and adjust exposure factors; operate CT equipment in accordance with standard protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and ensure availability of necessary supplies.
- Assess image quality, and report equipment issues as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of shielding and protective equipment.
- Stay current with industry practices through continued education and participation in professional organizations.
- Assist with training and orientation of radiology students or new technologists.
- Perform venous punctures for contrast administration and monitor patients for reactions.
- Communicate urgent findings to physician offices and discuss results with patients when appropriate.
Requirements:
- ARRT Certification with CT Registry
- Minimum 1 year of recent CT Technologist experience
- Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
