We're partnering with an exceptional K–12 school in Philadelphia County, PA to hire Special Education Teachers for the lower, middle, and upper school Resource Rooms.


In this role, you'll provide individualized instruction and academic support to students with a wide range of exceptionalities in a Resource Room setting. The lower school is especially seeking candidates with experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Emotional Disturbance (ED). You'll collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments that promote student growth and success.


Position Details:

  • Schedule: Full-time, follows district school schedule
  • Grade Levels: Lower School; Middle School; Upper School available.
  • Location: On-Site
  • School Year: 2026/2027


Responsibilities:

  • Provide pull-out, specialized instruction in targeted skill areas (e.g., reading, math, and social skills) within a resource room setting.
  • Deliver small-group and/or 1:1 instruction focused on skill-building and reinforcement of areas of need.
  • Support students with a range of exceptionalities through structured interventions aligned to individualized learning needs.
  • Collaborate with general education staff to help students participate in general education classes for the majority of the day.
  • Adapt instruction and supports to meet the needs of learners across K–12 units, including students requiring targeted interventions.


Qualifications:

  • Appropriate Special Education certification for the grade band/unit(s) being supported (K–12 as applicable).
  • Experience working in a resource room or pull-out model providing specialized instruction.
  • Background supporting students with a range of exceptionalities.
  • Experience supporting Autistic students and students with emotional disturbance challenges (especially for lower school).
  • Ability to provide targeted interventions while supporting students’ participation in general education settings most of the day.
