Position Summary:


This role serves as Quality Control support in our Commercial Lines Department. This individual will handle the processing of routine to complex transactions relating to commercial lines insurance.


This role is designed to work in conjunction with the CL Account Manager and CL Account Executive and is responsible for review and follow up on assigned tasks for accuracy and completeness. This is primarily an inward facing role.


This role strictly adheres to our Corporate Standards of Excellence and procedural guidelines spelled out in our Professional Procedure Manual.


Essential Job Functions:

  1. Review and process new business and renewal policy checking, endorsements, audits, and direct and agency bill invoicing.
  2. Communicate with Account Manager or Executive, when appropriate, any account concerns including but not limited to, renewal or audit increases, errors in policies or endorsements.
  3. Communicate with carriers/underwriters regarding errors/corrections to policies and/or endorsements.
  4. Issue standard letters to accompany policies, endorsements or audits being sent to clients. E-deliver these documents or upload to Passport when appropriate.
  5. Maintain client files, tasks and to do list in Sagitta & ImageRight, including documenting pertinent written correspondence and/or verbal conversations in ImageRight.
  6. Attend mandatory in-house training as required.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Skills and Abilities:

  1. Fluency in MS Office products.
  2. Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Ability to multitask and operate in an ever changing environment is critical.
  4. Ability to work well in a team environment.
  5. Ability to learn commercial lines insurance coverage, underwriting, and processing.
  6. Ability to communicate clearly, to work well with others, and to manage time effectively.

Education and Experience:

  1. High School diploma required, College Degree preferred.
  2. Insurance or office experience preferred.
  3. Property/Casualty License/Ability to become licensed in designated time frame.
