LanceSoft is seeking a LPN / LVN Med Surg for a travel job in Robbinsdale, Minnesota.
Job Description & Requirements
- Specialty: Med Surg
- Discipline: LPN / LVN
- Duration: 13 weeks
- 40 hours per week
- Shift: 8 hours, days
- Employment Type: Travel
👩⚕️ Patient Care & Monitoring
- Check and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respiration)
- Observe and report changes in patient condition
- Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, mobility)
💊 Medication Administration
- Administer oral and some injectable medications (scope varies by state/facility)
- Monitor patients for side effects or reactions
- Maintain accurate medication records
🛏️ Basic Nursing Procedures
- Perform wound care and dressing changes
- Insert and care for catheters
- Collect specimens (urine, blood, etc.)
- Assist with feeding tubes and basic treatments
📋 Documentation
- Record patient information in charts/EMR systems
- Document care provided and patient responses
🗣️ Patient & Family Support
- Educate patients on basic health and hygiene
- Provide emotional support and reassurance
- Communicate patient needs to RNs and physicians
🤝 Team Collaboration
- Work under supervision of RNs/physicians
- Assist in implementing care plans
- Coordinate with CNAs and other healthcare staff
🧼 Safety & Infection Control
- Follow infection prevention protocols
- Ensure patient safety (fall precautions, proper positioning)
