A well-established home health care agency in Washington, DC, is seeking a Staffing Coordinator/Administrative Assistant to support intake, scheduling, and administrative operations. This role is essential for coordinating patient start-of-care, managing referrals, and ensuring compliance with daily operational workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate patient intake, referrals, and Start of Care (SOC)
  • Home Health Scheduling, Intake Coordination, EMR
  • Referral Management, Schedule and manage clinical visits for field staff
  • Receive, process, and assign new referrals
  • Maintain and update staffing and scheduling records
  • Verify insurance coverage and authorization requirements
  • Ensure completion and compliance with scheduled visits
  • Prepare weekly schedules for office and field personnel
  • Manage referral documentation and correspondence
  • Schedule meetings with liaisons and referral sources
  • Manage timesheets and assist with payroll processing
  • Provide clerical and administrative support
  • Maintain filing systems and daily office operations
  • Order and distribute medical and office supplies
  • Assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Home health care experience is preferred/required
  • Knowledge of HHC home health care software/EMR systems is beneficial
  • Clinical background in home health preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
