A well-established home health care agency in Washington, DC, is seeking a Staffing Coordinator/Administrative Assistant to support intake, scheduling, and administrative operations. This role is essential for coordinating patient start-of-care, managing referrals, and ensuring compliance with daily operational workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient intake, referrals, and Start of Care (SOC)
- Home Health Scheduling, Intake Coordination, EMR
- Referral Management, Schedule and manage clinical visits for field staff
- Receive, process, and assign new referrals
- Maintain and update staffing and scheduling records
- Verify insurance coverage and authorization requirements
- Ensure completion and compliance with scheduled visits
- Prepare weekly schedules for office and field personnel
- Manage referral documentation and correspondence
- Schedule meetings with liaisons and referral sources
- Manage timesheets and assist with payroll processing
- Provide clerical and administrative support
- Maintain filing systems and daily office operations
- Order and distribute medical and office supplies
- Assist with special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Home health care experience is preferred/required
- Knowledge of HHC home health care software/EMR systems is beneficial
- Clinical background in home health preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
