Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity awaits Speech-Language Pathologists seeking a contract role supporting students in a dynamic school environment near Sarasota, FL. Starting August 2026 and continuing through May 2027, this assignment offers full-time hours (37.5 per week) in a setting where your expertise can directly shape young learners' communication and academic growth. Multiple positions are available, and assignments will be matched on a first-come, first-serve basis based on district needs.
Successful candidates will work onsite supporting students across varying age groups and potentially multiple campuses. The caseload and specific school assignments will be determined prior to the school year based on district requirements. Candidates should be passionate about fostering communication skills, collaborative within multidisciplinary teams, and adaptive to various student needs.
Requirements:
- Valid Florida SLP License (Master’s required; will also consider Clinical Fellowship Candidates)
- Strong preference for a Master’s degree; Bachelor’s considered for exceptional candidates
- No SLPAs considered at this time
- Experience in school-based SLP settings preferred
- Comfortable working with full caseloads, ages, and communication disorders
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to work fully onsite and engage with school communities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct therapy services to students
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Support students’ academic and social success through targeted interventions
