We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who’s ready to take the next step in their recruiting career. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience owning full-cycle recruiting while working closely with HR leadership and hiring managers to bring in the people who help keep our community safe in the water.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for recruiting and talent acquisition activities across the organization
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective hiring strategies and recruiting plans
- Post job openings, source candidates, and manage the recruiting pipeline and applicant flow through the ATS
- Manage the interview cycle – from initial screening to offer, ensuring every candidate has a smooth and informed experience
- Build and maintain relationships with community career advisors, schools, and talent partners to support ongoing hiring needs
- Track recruiting activity, maintain accurate hiring records, and support recruiting metrics and reporting
- Assist with offer preparation, pre-employment steps, and onboarding coordination
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, sourcing strategies, and employer branding
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–3 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, recruiting coordination, or HR support
- Experience managing full-cycle recruiting or operating as a primary recruiting resource is a plus
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and candidate sourcing tools
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple roles and priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with candidate-facing communication
- Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership and work independently
- Creative, resourceful, and solutions-oriented
