Electrical Engineer | Walker, MI
Salary Range: $78,000 - $123,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize electrical control systems for manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical failures in production machinery, automation, and plant infrastructure.
- Ensure all electrical installations, modifications, and systems comply with industry standards and safety regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E).
- Program, maintain, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and SCADA systems.
- Lead electrical aspects of capital equipment projects, from specification and procurement to installation and commissioning.
- Develop and maintain accurate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies for electrical equipment to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI development for industrial automation.
- Strong experience with industrial control systems, instrumentation, and sensor integration in a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems and machinery on a production floor.
- Familiarity with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) for designing and documenting control panels and wiring.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and safety standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA 79) applicable to manufacturing environments.
Bonus Qualifications
- Advanced PLC programming and industrial automation experience (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens).
- Experience with industrial robotics programming and integration (e.g., Fanuc, Kuka, ABB).
- Familiarity with machine vision systems for quality control and guidance.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification/experience.
