Summary of Position: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients as well as monitoring the functions and characteristics of organs or tissues where drugs become localized.
Education: Associates Degree
Experience: One (1) year practical experience performing nuclear medicine procedures preferred.
Skills: Excellent Communication Skills, both written and verbal; interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to work with little direct supervision; decision making skills; ability to use a computer equivalent to position
Requirements: NMTCB and/or ARRT Registered; must maintain registration; training in basic and medical sciences
Physical: Regularly required to stand; Occasionally required to sit and use hands to finger, handle and feel; Reach with hands and arms; Regularly required to talk or hear and see; Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs, or more. Manual dexterity and mechanical ability. Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
