Job DescriptionWhat a Day Looks Like

Step onto the Britton, SD floor and take ownership of precision. You’ll review the day’s blueprints and specifications, gather the right tooling, and set up CNC equipment so production runs start smoothly and stay on target. Throughout the shift, you’ll keep a close eye on machine performance, verify part quality, and keep detailed notes so every job is repeatable and reliable.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Prepare and set up CNC machines for scheduled runs, calibrating as needed to meet specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and part specifications to guide setups and operations.
  • Monitor machines during production to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Handle routine maintenance tasks and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Partner with engineering and production teams to refine processes and improve results.
  • Document production details, machine settings, and changes for traceability.
  • Champion safety protocols and keep your work area organized and clean.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent; machining-related technical education or certification is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience as a CNC machinist or setup technician.
  • Solid grasp of CNC machining methods, tooling, and best practices.
  • Confidence reading blueprints and technical documents.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools and gauges.
  • Sharp problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Clear communicator who thrives in a team-focused environment.
