Pre-Approved Time Off : - Orientation Hours : - Facility & Patient Care Details Patient Age Groups : - Daily Census : - Number of Visits Per Day : - Number of Rooms : - Number of Beds : - Additional Unit Information Interdisciplinary Support : - Patient Diagnoses : - Special Procedures/Unit Details : -EP Tech I is a health care professional that, through the utilization of specialized equipment and under the direction of a qualified cardiologist, performs procedures on adult patients resulting in accurate diagnosis and/or optimal treatment of congenital or acquired heart arrhythmias while maintaining maximum patient safety. EP Tech I is primarily responsible for employing imaging techniques, operation of other related equipment and assisting cardiologist during procedure. -Acts as first assistant during diagnostic EP studies, therapeutic ablation procedures, and surgical device implantations to assure completeness of case. -Reviews the pre-procedural patient assessment to obtain adequate information, communicate pertinent data to MD and ensure appropriate imaging and patient safety.-Assist in the education process of new employees, mentors students and other healthcare professionals observing in the EP lab. -Assist in the development of performance improvement activities in the EP lab, to include ideas, data collection, data analysis and implementing change to ensure best practice in the EP lab. Assist to maintain accurate implantable device database.-Performs other duties as assigned. Special Equipment : -Maintains a thorough knowledge in the use of all diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and products for procedures to ensure its accuracy and safety.-Operates and maintains all radiographic, digital, processing and viewing equipment associated with the production of high quality images. Assist in the operation of mapping system and ablation generator. Applies principles of radiation safety and protection. #Tier1 Travel Compliance Submittal Requirements Any RTO must be included in the initial submission and, if approved, reflected in the confirmation document. Expect holiday coverage. Minimum of 2 years of specialty experience required, unless otherwise stated in the job description. Active license is required at time of submission. At least 2 supervisory references required. Local radius: 75 miles. Local candidates accepted at local rate. Required certifications (as listed in the job description) must be submitted or obtained prior to start. Epic experience required. Policies Compliance Background and license hits are reviewed at facility discretion. Return Staff Policy: Must be away from full-time, part-time, or per diem employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler. Travel Break Policy: After 1 year on assignment, a 90-day system break is required before returning as a traveler. Perm Applicants: Cannot be in process for, or have applied to, a permanent role with St. Elizabeth Healthcare within the past 6 months. Strict no-call policy in place. Modules Non-billable if completed within first 16 hours of orientation; after 16 hours, modules are billable. Modules are assigned at start, detailed in the FDI, and may be assigned throughout the assignment.
