Tax Senior
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tax Associate to join our team, responsible for overseeing tax compliance, planning, and research activities for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial reporting and tax regulations, with a proven ability to provide strategic tax solutions that align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for corporate and individual clients.
- Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with IRS regulations and state tax laws.
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies to optimize their tax liabilities.
- Review financial statements and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
- Provide guidance and support during tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Utilize tax software to streamline processes and improve efficiency in tax preparation and reporting.
- Analyze financial data to identify tax risks and opportunities for clients.
- Prepare and present findings and recommendations to clients and senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification preferred, or actively pursuing certification.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of IRS regulations and state and local tax laws.
- Experience with tax planning and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in tax software and accounting tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
