Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This role offers the opportunity to provide specialized educational support to elementary students (K-5) with diverse urban backgrounds. The position is a contract assignment starting on August 13, 2026, and concluding on May 23, 2027. The schedule includes full-time hours, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, within a school setting located in Antioch, TN.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with general education teachers, and adapting instructional materials to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. The goal is to foster academic growth and social development in a supportive environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee Teaching License or eligibility for licensure
- Experience teaching special education at the elementary level (K-5)
- Ability to work effectively with students from urban communities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
