Interstate Batteries is recruiting new team members for a full-time entry level position performing on-demand local deliveries to customers within a 50-mile radius of Rockford, IL. Between deliveries, duties will also include include hands-on warehouse activities such as breaking down and storing pallets of automotive and commercial size battery shipments, inventory maintenance and cleaning, product testing and light janitorial. Experience not required, only a strong desire to learn all facets of the job and a willingness to go the extra mile. Advancement opportunities available.
Minimum Requirements: High School graduate with valid IL Drivers License and clean driving record. Must be able to work independently following established company procedures and able lift 50+ pounds repetitively. Must have good math and communication skills (Mandatory aptitude test given at in-person interview) Must be punctual and reliable - tardiness and repeatedly calling off will not be tolerated. Must be team oriented and continually demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn all aspects of the job and be ready to assist others as needed. (Because of the inherent danger of lead-acid battery charging and testing, smoking and vaping are not allowed in our building, on our property or in our company vehicles.)
