Job DescriptionWe are looking for a meticulous and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role is essential in ensuring smooth financial operations, with a focus on accurate processing of invoices, payments, and clerical support. Responsibilities:
• Process and verify credit card receipts and statements with precision.
• Record and post checks to accounts receivable systems.
• Support the Accounts Payable team by entering bills and assigning them to appropriate job accounts.
• Perform routine office tasks, including filing, data entry, and answering inbound calls.
• Maintain organized records of invoices and payments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with coding invoices and preparing them for check runs.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
• Provide excellent customer service when addressing inquiries related to accounts payable.
• Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines efficiently.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in accounting is a plud
• Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar office environment preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial documentation.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and customers.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Solid understanding of invoice processing, coding, and check runs.
• Customer service skills to address inquiries and provide support as needed.
