PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global aerospace leader to hire an experienced Industrial Engineering Technician in Berkeley, Missouri. In this high-impact role, you’ll support and improve complex production systems that enable the fabrication and assembly of next-generation aircraft, space vehicles, and defense systems.

This is a hands-on opportunity for a driven industrial engineering professional who wants to influence cost, schedule, quality, and efficiency across mission-critical aerospace programs.

Role Summary

As an Industrial Engineering Technician, you will help design, stabilize, and continuously improve production engineering systems and processes. Your work will directly support manufacturing planning, tooling strategy, labor forecasting, and shop-floor performance—ensuring world-class operational excellence across aerospace and defense programs.

Job Type: Full-Time, Consultant (12 Months)
Location: Berkeley, MO
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Second Shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
Pay Rate Starting at : 45.93 per hour

What You’ll Do Day to Day

  • Apply and update standards for new and revised work instructions

  • Develop and maintain precedence networks supporting tooling and production schedules

  • Create and track engineering and shop performance metrics

  • Integrate modular tooling into production systems

  • Analyze current and future manufacturing environments to develop resource forecasts and utilization plans

  • Develop and maintain factory definitions used for manufacturing planning

  • Create labor-hour estimates for new or revised production and tooling work packages

  • Monitor production performance and identify gaps to plan

  • Support integrated production schedules, including crew cycling, learning curves, shift analysis, and tooling capacity

  • Identify and implement process improvements using established continuous improvement methodologies

  • Analyze impacts from unplanned events and assess effects on cost, schedule, resources, and delivery

  • Develop and obtain approval for modifications to production plans

  • Participate in negotiations supporting production, tooling, and schedule commitments

  • Develop and maintain shop operating plans to maximize efficiency and reduce inventory

  • Analyze production data and recommend corrective actions to Production and Tooling Management

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced education, or a combination of education and experience

  • 6+ years of related industrial engineering, manufacturing, or production systems experience

  • Strong background in manufacturing planning, labor standards, tooling integration, and production metrics

  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate findings into actionable plans

  • Experience supporting cost, schedule, and resource optimization in a production environment

    This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments

  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and production system optimization

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, production, and tooling teams

Pay Details: 45.93 per hour
