Job Details
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Oversee preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and corporations
- Advise clients on estate planning, wills, trusts, and estate law matters
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations, GAAP, and applicable tax laws
- Manage and review tax implications of mergers & acquisitions, including due diligence
- Conduct audits and ensure accuracy of financial reporting and regulatory compliance
- Prepare and interpret detailed financial reports for stakeholders
- Perform reconciliations including balance sheet and general ledger accounting
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop tax-efficient strategies
- Utilize tax/accounting software such as CCH Axcess, Engagement, etc.
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required or in-progress
- Minimum 6–10 years of accounting/tax experience in public accounting
- Strong background in tax accounting, compliance, and reporting
- Experience in estate planning, wills, trusts, and M&A tax matters
- Proven ability to manage audits, regulatory reporting, and GAAP compliance
- Proficiency with accounting/tax software and financial report preparation
- Excellent analytical, communication, and client advisory skills
