Position: Clerk, Logistics & Transportation
Position Reports To: US Operations Manager
Position Overview
The Clerk, Logistics & Transportation drives shareholder value by providing essential administrative support to the Logistics and Transportation team, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of daily operations. The Clerk, Logistics & Transportation involves a variety of tasks, including data entry, document management, communication and general support for the team.
- Assist with accurately entering and maintaining shipment data, including but not limited to orders, invoices, and delivery information in relevant databases and spreadsheets
- May be required to assist with coordinating pickup and delivery schedules and research or troubleshoot any logistics issues to ensure customer service levels aren’t impacted
- Prepare and maintain various reports and documents related to logistics operations
- Prepare and process shipping documents
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned

- Accuracy of data entry and record-keeping
- Timeliness and efficiency in order processing
- Proactive identification and resolution of transportation issues
- Accurate and timely administration of documentation
Qualifications & Considerations for the Position
- College or secondary school diploma or equivalent work experience
- Certified in Logistics, Transportation & Distribution (CLTD), an asset
- Experience in the transportation and logistics industry, preferably in perishable goods would be preferred but not required
- Must type minimum 60WPM
- Fluent in English, Spanish an asset
- Organized self-starter with proven ability to co-ordinate and effectively follow up on multiple projects and assignments and meet all deadlines
- Excellent ability to plan, organize and prioritize with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to work under pressure, resolve problems, and meet tight deadlines
- Able to collect, maintain, evaluate data, summarize and write reports, and recommend continuous improvement
- Strong math skills to compute weight, cost and other variables
- Good oral, written and communication skills; able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders
- Proficient in computer software, such as inventory / traceability software, manufacturing software (GP Dynamics) and Microsoft Office (Excel)
- Collaborative team player with high integrity, values and a positive attitude and a sense of urgency
Pay: $22/Hour
