Salary Range: $95,000-$120,000 DOE

As a Regional Sales Manager for Rainbow Ecoscience (a division of Rainbow Companies), you will provide strategic leadership to a regional sales team, driving execution of revenue plans and performance metrics across assigned territories. This role involves direct leadership and mangement of Rainbow Ecoscience Sales Territory Managers, including coaching, performance management, and alignment with organizational objectives. This role will require up to 50% travel and is open to candidates who reside within 50 miles of a major airport.

RES sells and supports its plant healthcare products and solutions directly with B2B professionals in the following green industry segments: commercial tree care and landscape maintenance companies, federal, state and municipal governments, professional grounds and other organizations/professionals who manage insects, diseases, and plant health of trees and shrubs. What You Will Do 

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies to capture new business and retain existing customers.
  • Training, Coaching and Mentorship of Rainbow Esoscience Sales Territory Managers (TMs): Provides regular coaching and training to help team members develop their sales skills, discovery, and buying conversations and improve performance. An emphasis is placed on this position spending time in the field doing ride alongs with TMs to observe and train on actual sales conversations and actions with clients/prospects.
  • Market Expansion and Business Development: Identify new market opportunities and support TMs in acquiring new clients.
  • Monitoring, Analyzing Performance and Holding Team Accountable: Ensures accountability within the team by setting performance benchmarks and holding themselves and everyone responsible for results.
  • Recruiting and Retaining Top Talent: Identifies and recruits high-performing salespeople who align with the team’s needs and Rainbow Companies values. Focus on team retention by fostering a positive and growth-oriented culture.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 3-5 years of sales management/sales leadership experience supporting sales individuals and teams
  • Bachelor of Science degree in business, sales management, organizational leadership
    • OR a BS in a green industry major such as horticulture, turfgrass science, forestry/urban forestry, landscape management or a related plant science/agriculture field. 
  • Valid Driver’s License. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 3 years of direct sales experience and in the green industry, tree care and/or landscape maintenance industry is preferred.
  • 3 years or more of Business-to-Business Sales Experience as a distributor sales representative or manufacturer sales representative.

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

Ability to work outside and walk through commercial and residential landscapes while exposed to heat and cold. May be required to bend, reach, stoop, and lift objects; may be exposed to conditions including chemicals, the use of tools, and equipment. Safety precautions must always be followed, including the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and other safety equipment. You must be able to lift 50 pounds at any given time.
