Position Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative will play a key role in supporting our outside sales team and ensuring outstanding customer service for our customers. This position involves preparing quotes, processing sales orders, conducting product and vendor research, and maintaining communication with customers and vendors regarding orders, backorders, and delivery timelines.
We are seeking someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Experience in the plumbing industry and with QuickBooks is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support assigned outside sales representatives with quoting, order entry, and customer communication.
- Create and send accurate sales quotes and order confirmations in a timely manner.
- Process and manage sales orders and purchase order using QuickBooks.
- Research vendors and products to ensure competitive pricing and availability.
- Follow up on customer orders, backorders, and delivery timelines.
- Provide excellent customer service through phone and email correspondence.
- Assist with product inquiries, returns, and general sales support.
- Collaborate with the sales, warehouse, and purchasing teams to ensure smooth order flow and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, pricing, and vendor programs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inside sales, customer service, or sales support—preferably in the plumbing supply industry.
- QuickBooks experience required; comfort with other order entry or ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
