Job DescriptionJob Title: Inpatient Coder (Level 3)
Location: Atlanta, GA
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Overview:
We're seeking experienced Level 3 Inpatient Coders to join a dynamic hospital-based coding team in Atlanta. This role requires precision, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to code across high-acuity specialties including Spinal, Transplant, and NICU.
As part of a collaborative revenue cycle environment, coders will work closely with supervisors and other departments, navigating complex workflows and supporting compliance and accuracy in medical coding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use EPIC to review, code, and manage inpatient patient records.
- Accurately assign codes for Spinal, Transplant, and NICU cases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve coding discrepancies and ensure documentation integrity.
3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications
- 3+ years inpatient hospital coding experience (won't accept candidates with less than 3 years of experience)
- Epic experience
- CCS (preferred) or RHIT/RHIA
