Job Title: Material Handler – Stand-Up Reach Forklift Operator

Job Summary

Join our team as a Material Handler – Stand-Up Reach Forklift Operator and support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a stand-up reach forklift to move, store, and organize materials throughout the facility. Materials handled may include palletized products, barrels, and propane tanks. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining efficiency while supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory processes.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a stand-up reach forklift to load, unload, move, and store materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Transport and stage pallets, barrels, and propane tanks in designated storage areas while following all safety procedures.
  • Perform order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities, verifying product quantities and ensuring proper placement of materials.
  • Assist with material handling and product movement to maintain organized and accessible warehouse inventory.
  • Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols, particularly when handling regulated materials such as propane tanks.
  • Assist with inventory organization, cycle counts, and record updates within the warehouse management system.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely distribution operations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in warehouse distribution, shipping and receiving, or material handling roles.
  • Valid Stand-Up Reach Forklift Certification (required) with demonstrated operating experience.
  • Experience handling palletized goods, barrels, or similar industrial materials in a warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with RF scanners, warehouse management systems, and order picking processes.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and OSHA guidelines.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, moving, and staging materials in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
