Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Electrician II to support ongoing and upcoming electrical installation and maintenance projects. This is a hands-on role with the potential to transition into a full-time position, based on project needs and performance. The ideal candidate will bring a strong working knowledge of electrical systems, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute installation plans for electrical wiring of lighting, intercom, and related systems
- Install electrical apparatuses, fixtures, safety equipment, and alarm systems
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks, ensuring compatibility and safe operation
- Prepare and install conduit systems; pull and terminate wiring in accordance with NEC standards
- Inspect, maintain, and replace aged wiring, insulation, and system components
- Perform routine system maintenance to prevent electrical breakdowns
- Effectively troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions, identifying faulty components and executing timely fixes
- Collaborate with other trades and follow construction or maintenance schedules
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and local electrical codes
- Follow all site-specific safety protocols and use proper PPE
QualificationsRequired:
- 3–5 years of hands-on electrical experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional settings
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
- Proficient in the use of electrical tools, test meters, and power equipment
- Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
Preferred:
- Journeyman Electrician Certification or License
- Experience with fire alarm, security systems, or low-voltage electrical work
- Experience in troubleshooting control systems or automation panels
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Ability to work on ladders, scaffolds, or in confined spaces
- Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments
Certification: Journeyman Electrician Certification
