Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our team, responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products within the warehouse. This position operates during regular business hours, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Control the flow of shipping and receiving, including loading and unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and matching purchase orders to sales orders.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, rack location, or product code.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or designated route driver storage areas.
• Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
• Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate methods.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers.
• Weigh and count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
• Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
• Prepare parcels for shipping.
• Organize the warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• Wear the proper safety equipment.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Good tenure with a minimum of 6 months at each place of employment.
• Ability to lift bins up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in counting parts.
• Experience using a handheld scanner.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift experience is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is based in a warehouse distribution center. The work environment is team-oriented, with a focus on maintaining a clean and organized facility. The standard shift is Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Roseville, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
